For more than 25 years, Colbert Infrared Services,Inc. has been setting the standards for top quality infrared inspections. We believe in providing only the best quality infrared thermographic services. Our clients must agree. We have performed literally thousands of inspections worldwide. We stand behind our commitment to customers for life.
Colbert Infrared delivers the highest quality infrared inspection services available – including electrical, mechanical, roof moisture, or building envelope/heat loss. Our professional ASNT and Professional Thermographer’s Association certified thermographers are trained using leading-edge technology. It is the thoroughness of their training in the physics of thermography, combined with the experience available from working for a large consultancy, that they have developed their talents in the art of thermographic inspections.
Our experience covers a host of different inspection environments: hotels and resorts, large cruise ships, office complexes, pulp and paper mills, hospital campuses, power generation facilities, and more. We also work on research and development projects for many clients, which keeps us at the forefront of continuing developments in infrared technology.
Our success with the design and use of the Thermal Trend™ database system has generated many satisfied and loyal clients. Colbert Infrared Services introduced the Thermal Trend™ system to the predictive maintenance community to address the number one concern of risk managers and maintenance staff - consistency of inspection quality, reporting and problem management. Today, Colbert's thermographers deliver the best, most consistent inspection services for clients both large and small.
Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. has been servicing clients internationally since its inception. Every member of our staff holds a current U.S. Passport. You can see from the resumes of our staff that they have significant foreign travel and living experience.
We understand and can meet the need to be available to our clients during their local working hours. We would anticipate sending a Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. thermographer to perform inspections on groupings of sites in one geographic area at a time. Since English is the language of international business, and even in locations such as Ethiopia, the professional engineers will speak English, the need for local language capability is primarily useful while traveling to or from the client site. We have complete confidence in the ability of our personnel to navigate to, from, and between any of our customer sites without difficulty.
Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. also has additional global resources at our disposal. We have many partners in the Thermal Trend™ Solutions Provider network in Asia, Europe, and South and Central America, on whom we are free to call for assistance of any kind (and they, us). Finally, as a back up, it would be our intent to send each engineer a pre-inspection letter identifying what we are tasked with doing, what his staff will be required to do during the inspection, and what information we would need before the inspection. It will also help identify any language barriers prior to arrival of the thermographer on site, so that those can be addressed site-by-site.
There are a variety of options that can be used to print the complete final report:
• Our thermographers will prepare a field report, burned onto a CD right in the engineer’s office upon completion of the inspection. The information contained therein is the complete, final report in Adobe .pdf format.
• The client can print the report immediately upon completion of the inspection from this CD.
• The technician can upload the data to the Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. FTP site, from which the report can be printed in Seattle, Washington and shipped (FedEx) to the client within 5 business days.
• The technician can upload the data to a FedEx/Kinkos location for printing and shipping at many international locations.
Once the data has been uploaded to the Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. server, the client will have access to the data and reports via our web site. Permissions will be established for new clients secure access to view Thermal Trend™ - Live!
Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. has been recording the root cause of electrical anomalies since it first introduced the Thermal Trend™ database. Each client’s database generates its own “knowledge library” over time, from which trends can be tracked on similar findings.
Thermal Trend’s “Aged Problem Report” clearly tracks when a problem is identified, when a repair has been scheduled, when the repair has been completed, and then when the problem is confirmed to have been corrected. The confirmation would take place at the next regularly scheduled inspection, or, in the case where the problem is corrected prior to the completion of the current inspection, it would be verified as repaired prior to our technician leaving the site. The problem would still be included as having been observed during the current inspection.
Thermal Trend™ Live! allows our clients to update their site database directly. The engineer or maintenance staff would log on to the site, choose the problem, and schedule the repair. When the repair has been completed, the staff member would similarly log on and input the repair information. The client would be able to log on and view the “Aged Problem Report” for any site at any time. As part of the service we are offering, Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. will export the data to Excel spreadsheet(s) and summarize the findings in order to present the hazard identifications to the client as needed..
Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. will also run a report monthly to report on the responsiveness of the sites for which inspections have been completed during the current calendar year, and pro-actively contact sites from whom updated information has not been forthcoming.
