Mickey Gourley Biography

Karen “Mickey” Gourley: Operations Manager

Mickey joined Colbert Infrared Services, Inc. in 2005 as Operations Manager. Previously, she held the position of Network Communications Manager serving the U.S. Customs Service. There she managed and improved the efficiency of 20 field technicians in a high-stress, time-critical environment. This position required a Top Secret clearance and travel to many U.S. border sites.

Mickey also worked for six years as a communications design engineer for U.S. Department of Defense contractors. Her work was to design and manage the installation of satellite communication systems aboard U.S. Navy ships. This required frequent travel throughout the U.S., to Asia and to the Persian Gulf.

Mickey received an honorable discharge after 10 years of decorated service in the U.S. Marine Corps where she specialized in aviation electronics.

She holds a Black Belt in Saito-Ha Shito-Ryu (Karate).
